I tried putting Google ads on my blog but I found almost no one was clicking them so I took the ads off my site. Now my blog looks less cluttered. I don't know how some people are able to make any money with ads on their blog. I know that when I visit someone's blog I tend to ignore the ads. It is a wonder anybody makes any money from ads but apparently some people claim that they do. I wonder what their secret is to get people to click on ads.
Anyways I don't think ads are a very good fit for a personal blog like mine. Nobody comes to my site looking for specific information. It's not like I can blog knowledgeably about one topic to get targeted ads on my site. I tend to blog about anything that strikes my fancy which does not make for ads targeted at a specific audience that would most likely click them. I don't think I could blog about one thing all the time. That would be too boring.
